Crazy Stupid Love

This movie is amazing. You MUST watch it. I saw it the other day with some east slope homies, and it was so, so fantastic, not what I was expecting at all. I had no idea Steve Carrel or Emma Stone were even in it! But they were, and every single actor in it was amazing, in particular I really, really believed in Steve Carrel's character too, (Cal). It basically is the story of him and his family as he and his wife separate. Not much to make a 2hr movie out of by the sounds of it but oh they do. And they do it well. You will not regret watching this movie! It's beautiful.

Even its IMDB page has a rating of 7.5-pretty damn high by imdb standards!

P.S-There is one scene near the end, which has to be one of my favourite movie scenes of all time! It's when all of the characters come together in the garden of Cal's marital home and it is twist after twist of pure cinematic glory!

P.P.S-If my description doesn't whet your appetite enough, then this gif of Ryan Gosling will. Male or female, I think you'll agree that....I'm sorry, I have no idea how to finish this sentence, my brain has turned to mush after google searching 'Ryan Gosling topless'.

I'M STARTING A BLOG.

Oh yes, sound the trumpets, release the hounds, pork the pies, this is happening.

The idea to start a blog has creeped into my mind bi-annually over the last few years but I am such a lazy person I never get round to doing it. However, boredom has reached a new level which has resulted in me writing this draft of a blog entry into a word doc. I have bled dry all my usual procrastinating websites, watched everything watchable on iplayer and am not in the mood to do any dissertation nor sleep so I am forced to channel my creative juices into this.

Let me set the scene for you. It is 23:43pm on a Tuesday evening in February. I am sitting in my dingy East Slope* cell bedroom, wet hair piled on top of my hair in a nest bun, wearing pyjama bottoms and a bra, eating butter on crackers and a baby sized apricot petit filous, one lamp is on, the floor is covered in dissertation questionnaires and clothes and the song I was listening to has just finished so all I can hear is the sounds of the rats scratching at the pipes. (I jest, I jest- there are no rats in East Slope, even they turn their pointy rat noses up at this dump) oh wait, a fire alarm is going off nearby-not surprised.
Pessimistically, I really don’t think this blog will last very long as I have a terrible habit of starting things and not finishing them.........such as sentences.......*tumbleweed* get it? no? nevermind...

I’ll aim to keep my posts short and sweet. But I always, always overwrite. I really hope none of my lecturers see this but sssssh, I was 1,500 words over on my essay I just handed in. It was meant to be 3,000 words but there was too much to say and I refuuuuuused to take out words I had lovingly written. Im already prepared to see a big fat fail on that one but who cares cos I didn’t even pick to do that course and it was shit!!!!!!!! (note: if any lecturers do happen to see this...please take my excessive word limit as a sign of pure enthusiasm for the wonderful module that you subjected us to that was oh so interesting and relevant to Psychology...)
Already I feel I have written too much, until next time mes amis

*East Slope is the University of Sussex’s cheapest halls of residence. It is often described as...a pile of shit. This photo was created for the Uni. Sussex Memes facebook page and sums up nicely what East Slope looks like...
